Alexis Johnson is a seasoned journalist and magazine editor, who specializes in covering Los Angeles. A third-generation Angeleno, Alexis loves telling the stories of the people making her city so vibrant. Her expertise lies in luxury lifestyle—from LA’s rich art and nightlife scenes to West Coast beauty, style and design. In addition to serving as Deputy Editor of Los Angeles Confidential magazine, Alexis has also served as an editor at Angeleno magazine, Hollywood Life magazine, and the Rundown. She worked with ForYourArt as an editorial consultant, creating engaging and informative content, and also has contributed to various publications and outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter, The Huffington Post, Foam Magazine, Us Weekly and Riviera magazine, among many others. Alexis holds a Master’s degree in curating and contemporary art history from USC’s Roski School of Fine Arts and wrote her thesis on the early work of artist Allen Ruppersberg.
